Located on the outskirts of the traditional Cretan village of Aspro, and near to the blue flag beaches of Almyrida, Sophia's House is an example of a typical luxury villa in Crete.

You will be able to unwind and de-stress much quicker at your villa as the sense of peace, quiet, privacy and tranquility is in a different league to the bustle, noise, lack of privacy and space associated with a hotel.
Don't think that by hiring a villa you will have no backup, you can rest easy in the knowledge that there is a team of English speaking professionals a few minutes from the villa to offer any assistance required. These people are of a level of competence that is way above any standard, alcohol fueled and hungover travel rep.
You can make the choice between dinning out at any of the very reasonably priced local tavernas or maybe try cooking or barbecuing some of the locally grown food.
There are many luxury villas near the seaside town of Almyrida, although most are close enough to walk to Almyrida we would however recommend hiring a car to get the most out of the area, you can always leave the car at the villa if you fancy a walk. Local attractions include shopping and ancient sites at Chania and Rethymno as well as many beautiful beaches to explore.
If you have time other sites include the island of Spinalonga ( made famous by Victoria Hislops book "the island") and the ancient Minoan ruins of Knossos, Phaistos or Aptera (the Turkish fort at the Aptera ruins site is visible to the Almyrida area). One unforgettable day is to take the sea cat for a day trip to the island of Santorini the original site of Atlantis?
